A local artist who has been working on a series of paintings inspired by the wildlife on Wanstead Flats.

“Since moving to Leytonstone five years ago I have become fascinated by the abundant
wildlife on Wanstead Flats and have done lots of drawings and paintings inspired by this
jewel of nature in East London. In these days of climate change and uncertainty nature
provides solace and inspiration to artists and everyone else. And it is more important than
ever to notice and celebrate the beauty and joy this intrusion of nature in our busy, traffic,
concrete and dust clogged city.”

The pieces on display are mostly made with India ink and watercolour washes.
